
Inman Park Historic DistrictThe neighborhood of Inman Park is part of the City of Atlanta’s Inman Park Historic District. To preserve the historic physical pattern, the architectural history, the historic diversity of housing in the district, and to ensure renovations, new development and construction are consistent with the characteristics of the district, the City of Atlanta created the regulations governing construction within the Inman Park Historic District. If you want to build new construction or renovate your current structure, below are some helpful links and guidelines. Historic Preservation RewriteA presentation and discussion of the revisions to the Inman Park Historic District Regulations was held on September 29, 2025. Based on feedback and questions from various neighbors at and following this meeting, the proposed draft has been updated and is linked below showing a date of 11/3/2025. The original draft and overview of the rewrite remain linked for reference showing a date of 8/6/25. The changes to the proposed rewrite are described in the linked “changes” document. The historic district map (updated 11/14/25) is linked below. It is referenced in the rewrite. This map lists contributing and non-contributing structures in Inman Park.
