Your Inman Park Security PatrolWe love that our neighborhood is in the heart of the City of Atlanta. We also recognize that being a popular in-town destination requires heightened diligence concerning our public safety, which is why the Inman Park Security Patrol (IPSP) is such an important asset to our neighborhood. Join our membership and support IPSP here. What is IPSP?Off-duty Atlanta Police Department officers patrol Inman Park in Inman Park Neighborhood Association's (IPNA) own marked patrol vehicle or on bikes. In addition to assisting our regular APD beat officers with calls in Inman Park, the Patrol also provides additional benefits to members, such as vacation patrol requests and business drop-ins, at higher levels of membership. Funded through residential and business memberships and various fundraising activities, the Patrol is coordinated through IPNA. The personal, dedicated connection that the IPSP officers have with the community has helped make Inman Park a safer neighborhood. Resident and Business members who join at certain levels can proudly display a distinctive placard in their yards or windows. Benefits of Joining the Security Patrol
What if I have an HOA?If you live in an apartment or condominium, chances are your management company or homeowners' association makes a contribution already on your behalf. However, as an example, the large complexes in the neighborhood are typically asked to pay only about $20 per unit per year. Our security officers do patrol Inman Park's multi-family dwellings, and we all want to enjoy safer streets, so these are important reasons for apartment and condo dwellers to support IPSP. Even if you live in a dwelling with an HOA that participates in IPSP, you can still join IPSP at any level to show additional support to the hard working officers that patrol the neighborhood. Individuals in HOA's that do not participate in IPSP can still join as individuals, but we encourage you to talk to your HOA board and consider joining with the entire community. Why Join? With more contributions, we can employ additional off-duty APD officers and increase their patrol hours. If we have as our goal to fund the patrol round the-clock for the entire year, the annual cost would be only about $43 per household. That's less than 40 cents per household per day for full-time security patrol. If you are already an IPSP member, thank you! If not, please consider joining today at a level that works for you.
