WELCOME TO OUR NEW WEBSITE!
This is the very first web log (aka “blog”) that I, Dennis Mobley, have written in my year-and-a-half as Inman Park Neighborhood Association (IPNA) President. I thought it fitting that I write something to acknowledge the debut of our new MemberClicks®-powered website. So WELCOME TO OUR NEW WORLD!
What is significant about this new infrastructure is that the shiny new web pages are the front end of a robust Membership Management platform that will make it easier for each of you to join, support and STAY JOINED to IPNA!
Look out for our email!
By the time you are reading this blog, some 400+ of you will have received an email from our Vice President of Communications, James McManus, notifying you that you are believed to be a current IPNA member in good standing. (We gleaned this list of 400+ from old database and believe it to be fairly accurate.)
You will be invited to create a Member Profile. This will extend your IPNA membership for a couple of months, until we implement the payment features of the site, including on-line payments, reminders, and the ability to choose monthly charges to a credit or debit card.
If you did NOT receive James’s email, no worries, you too are invited to create a Member Profile. Initially, you can avail yourself of the FREE “basic” membership voted in by IPNA members in August.
Your IPNA membership and security patrol
Either way, in a month or two, when the online payment module is up and running, you will be invited to express your love for the Inman Park Security Patrol by opting for one of the payment levels voted in under the new membership structure adopted in August. Each individual IPNA member has the option of paying annual amounts of $50, or $100, or $200, or $300, (or more) in support of the Patrol. The website will make clear what the benefits of each level are. If only one individual member in the household makes those payments, the benefits will apply to the entire household, no worries!
Exciting things ahead...
In the meantime, enjoy the new website, and let us know what you like or don’t like. You will see evidence of our growing pains here and there, but going forward we are THRILLED at the possibilities this new infrastructure affords us to expand IPNA membership and better inform all 5,000 of us who now populate the neighborhood.
Happy Holidays, Neighbors!! As always, please feel free to reach out to me at [email protected].
