Dear Neighbors:

During this pandemic, we’ve all been told to shelter in place.
But what about the most vulnerable among us who have no place to shelter?

As those of you who came to our April 15 IPNA Zoom Meeting heard from Councilmember Amir Farokhi, the City of Atlanta is testing our homeless neighbors for COVID-19 and is housing those who test positive in a downtown hotel that has been converted to isolation housing. Homeless COVID-19 patients are cared for in the isolation hotel, giving them a safe place to recover and helping prevent the further spread of the disease. Another local hotel is being converted into housing for the city’s homeless population to keep our most vulnerable neighbors safe.

Public Meeting-Little Five Points Redesign

Do you love Bass Field? Do you love Little Five Points? Plans are underway to redesign Findley Plaza in Little Five Points with Renew Atlanta funds. The Little Five Points Commercial Improvement District’s (L5PCID) Findley Plaza Redevelopment Committee will conduct two community input meetings on the following days, times, and location. Show up and voice your vision for Findley Plaza and Bass Fields. 

Saturday, August 12th from 10:00 am to noon in the Sevenanda Community Room (the downstairs of 467 Moreland Ave)

July IPNA Meeting Highlights

Regan Hammond gave updates on Renew Atlanta and the plans for 3 upcoming projects: Euclid and Edgewood, Krog St and Lake Ave and N. Highland from Alaska to Elizabeth St. Full plan details will be available at Inmanpark.org.

Little 5 Pts Halloween Parade Permit approved. parade will be on October 21, 2017. 

Anna Foote from the Atlanta Commercial Improvement District came to discuss Findley Plaza and Bass Fields. Residents strongly voiced their desire to maintain Bass Fields as green space where kids can play instead of developing the land into a parking deck or other structure. IPNA Pres Neil Kinkopf expressed the IPNA's desire to have a neighborhood rep become part of the the CID's process.

Come out for a fun night of good food and drinks at The Porter on July 19 from 5 to 11 p.m. to support Little Five Alive. 10% of sales for the day are generously being donated by The Porter to Little Five Alive!
What's Little Five Alive?
It is a community organization made up of members from Candler Park, Inman Park and other surrounding neighborhoods with a mission to transform the public spaces in L5P to be brighter, cleaner and more attractive while continuing to showcase its unique creative spirit. Through the use of public art, community events, and partnerships with the L5PBA, L5PCID, Park Pride and the City of Atlanta, we are heading towards our goal of creating a more attractive, fun and safe community in L5P.
