INMAN PARK HALLOWEEN KICK-OFF PARTY

On October 26th from 2-4 pm Inman Park UMC will be putting on their annual Trunk or Treat in the parking lot. Bring your young children and their friends, come in costume, and have fun! There will be decorated trunks with treats, face painting, pumpkin painting, and a sweet walk. This event is free and open to the community. Please bring canned goods for Intown Ministries! The Inman Park Neighborhood Association Meeting will be held Wednesday, October 16, 2019, 7:30 pm at the Trolley Barn. The following items are on the agenda. All are welcome. Childcare will be provided.

The Fulton County Department of Arts & Culture (FCAC) is pleased to announce application deadlines for the upcoming FY 2020 Contracts for Services funding cycle. Funding will range from $1,000 to $50,000 for Fulton County based artists, arts, cultural and community based non-profit organizations and artist collectives.  The CFS 2020 applications open Sept. 4, 2019, and close Oct. 18, 2019. The Small Arts Project Support Funds category has rolling deadlines which are subject to the availability of funds.  Applications must be completed and submitted through the WebGrants System: http://fulton.dullestech.net/ For a detailed overview of the Fulton County Arts & Culture Contracts for Services (CFS) application process click here for the application process.  ‌  ‌  ‌

There will be a pre-meeting at 6:30pm before the IPNA meeting, next Wednesday, September 18, at the Trolley Barn, where Planning Commissioner, Tom Keane, will speak to us.  He will speak for 45 minutes (topic not specified) which should leave time for questions from the audience.  Please plan to attend if you are interested in the future of our city.

In September 2019, The Patch Works Art & History Center - and the Cabbagetown community at large - will be presenting the play Cabbagetown: 3 Women, an Oral History Play with Music in the neighborhood’s outdoor amphitheater. Written in 1978 by R. Cary Bynum (and with original music by the late Joyce Brookshire), Cabbagetown: 3 Women tells the story of three, life-long Cabbagetown residents: Beatrice “Aunt Beadie” Dalton (played by Sarah Knight). Lila Brookshire (played by Karen Tanner), and Effie Dodd Gray (played by Kim Cohran). Music played by Barbara Panter and Mick Kinney.

The IPNA meeting will be held on Wednesday, August 21, 7:30 pm at the Trolley Barn.
